Cambridge is filled with beautiful streets,
the kind you slowly wander through on a Sunny Sunday morning.
A little while back,
as we headed into Sunday market,
for our usual weekly hawl,
we rambled through a different street.
Victoria Street has character.
I remember looking at a particular house,
with beautiful grey brick walls and a perfectly red door.
I had imagined its tall corridors,
its old floors, and paths, leading onto secluded courtyards.
I don't quite know why...
But, that was exactly as I pictured it.
Or perhaps, I must have dreamt it...

In April, just past...
I discovered what laid behind that perfectly Red door at 1 Victoria St.
It hosted a Royal Tea collaboration between the brilliant Kyung and I. A fringe event for EAT Cambridge.

This past Wednesday though,
something quite different flourished.
A Duke House Summer gathering...
There was beautifully curated art on walls in every room,
tables adorned with ceramics, I couldn't help but fall in love with, by Marium Cullum,
Colourful beastlings (Abi Stevens) and absorbing Landscapes (Susan Abbs)
I lost myself in Sue Rapley's Soft landscapes and felt comforted by Mandy's Etchings.
A certain mystery lurked in Karen's Stunning Paintings.
I got talking with the delightful Roxana De Rond.
Her 3D illustrations make you want to sit back in the "Orchards in Spring"
or you hope to find your perfect match, like Cheese and Crackers.
She seemed like a half full kind of person, and that just made me happy.
Duke House was full, of happy air in your lungs.
Was flowing with acoustic notes by my two talented brothers.
The corridors were raving with sounds of newly acquainted friends.
The rooms were overflowing with stories and laughter.
And to accompany such a beautiful event...
We laid out a beautiful grazing table.
